Oak Grove's Media Center Makeover 2010 |

| Oak Grove has a wonderful new Media Center! Over the summer of 2010, over 100 volunteers from the Summit Church came out to help us give our Media Center a facelift. They helped us clean, paint, decorate, and reorganize our book collection. Other volunteers from the community and and our school family helped us add to our decorations, including adding boats and building a pier right inside our media center! | We have reorganized the books in our Media Center in order to help our students become better readers. Fiction books are grouped into sections by their Lexile levels and identified by colors, so students are able to easily identify books that are on or slightly above their reading level. Nonfiction books are still grouped by subjects and are in the process of being labeled with their respective Lexile levels as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our students are already excited about checking out books and finding a spot in our new Media Center where they can sit and enjoy their books. Students can't wait to snuggle up with a pillow or relax in one of our boats to begin their reading adventures! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
